This subject has been bothering me for awhile now and even more recently. Before you go ahead and assume I'm just talking about myself having all these haters, I'M NOT by any means. I've been watching closely at others situations and all the hatin that's been going on. Its rather ridiculous if you ask me. I just can't seem to grasp at the fact people can be so jealous when someone does something good in their life. This is a serious case of STOP THE HATE. If someone gets something nice for them self that they worked hard for, why hate on them? Congratulate them for their hard work and move on. No need to "one up" them or get all pissy.
The "One-Upper"- I seriously cannot fathom this kind of person. YOU ARE SERIOUSLY IRRITATING. Any one that tries to "one up" someone close to them.. or anyone for that matter, you need to lay off that drank (haterade). For example: Your best friend gets a new job making twice the amount of money you do, Be happy for them, don't bash their new job, give negative feedback or get pissy. You should be so excited for your friend! I mean shit, go out and celebrate, have a drink (not haterade), make your new high-roller friend pay for the drink if you feel the need, JUST DON'T HATE! In this scenario a "one-upper" cannot do so. They will try a way to twist this great news into "Well I actually found out I'm getting a raise" NO. SHUT UP. you are no where near getting a raise. Stop trying to steal your friends light & just come to the fact that your friend is going to make more money than you & move the fuck on.
Another scenario with the "one upper" that I see on a regular basis: Your friend gets this really cute & expensive outfit that she has been ranting & raving over for weeks now! She worked hard for this outfit and finally gave in and just purchased it. Here comes JAWS *dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun*, I mean "the one-upper" goes out and buys a similar or even a better outfit. WHY? what's so fucking important about your new "one up'ed" outfit that you HAD to get to try & stand in your friends light? I'm sure that outfit wasn't even your style or taste in clothing... but "The one-upper" does not care. As long as their outfit is better, or more expensive.. They get off on that shit. Sorry sweetie, your exciting fab & new outfit just got ONE-UP'ED. Isn't that completely ridiculous? Go fucking drown yourself Jaws.
In all do respect people... Just be happy for one another!! This will never happen because clearly they had a giant leak in the Haterade factory and the juice spread like the disease in Contagion all over the world. It's in your faucets and hell... it's even in your ice cube machines. STOP DRINKING THE HATERADE.
There's no need for this petty shit. All the hatin, swackin (swagger jackin) and just plain jealous has got to go. Stop living in the fury of someone else's accomplishments and do your own damn thing. Live your lives and be yourself. Don't die a copy bitches, because you were born an original. let's keep it that way :)
